NBA: Denver 116, New Orleans 110

Denver -- Arron Afflalo scored six of his 19 points in overtime Saturday to lead Denver to a 116-110 win over the New Orleans Hornets.

Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets with 30 points and 11 rebounds and sank a pair of critical free throws late in the OT period after twisting an ankle with 1:04 to play.

Kenyon Martin and Chauncey Billups each scored 20 for Denver. The Nuggets outrebounded the Hornets 61-37.

New Orleans was led by Chris Paul, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds. Darius Songaila added 20 points.

Paul sank a driving bank shot with 18.4 seconds to play in regulation to tie the game and send it into overtime.

Afflalo scored two 3-pointers in the overtime period, including one with less than 2 minutes left that put Denver ahead 111-106.
