Anaheim, Calif., Oct. 15: Corey Perry scored two goals in the first period and Jonas Hiller made 32 saves Wednesday to give the Anaheim Ducks a 3-2 victory over Minnesota.">
The Wild lost their third straight. They had scored only 10 goals coming into the game and just two teams in the NHL had produced fewer.
Perry scored 1:41 into the game with a backhander and he then fired a slapshot past Niklas Backstrom midway through the opening period.
Hiller carried a shutout deep into the second before Eric Belanger scored with 3:25 left to make it a 3-1 game. Hiller protected that lead until Andrew Brunette tallied with just 10 seconds remaining in the game.
Backstrom made 32 saves on 35 shots. The Pacific Division has four teams with at least seven points, more than any other division in the league.
