“Dancing with the Stars” will have a new dancing champion out of these three celebrity finalists now.
Marini- the pick of the bunch
The three dancing couples include Shawn Johnson- Mark Ballas, Mellisa Rycroft-Tony Dovolani, and Gilles Marini-Cherly Burke. Although, all the three couples performed remarkably well during the eighth-season final of the show, the confidence level of Marini is beyond comparison.
As per the ranking of the judges, Marini is at the top; while Rycroft and Johnson are ranked at number two and three respectively.
The three contestants, all of whom are really worthy of the prestigious disco-ball trophy, expressed their desire to win the finals.
“I really do want it,” said Rycroft who has won 27 points for her exuberant freestyle performance and 29 points for her paso doble. Recollecting her memories of the past 11 weeks at the ABC show, Rycroft said the whole experience has been a whirlwind.
Talking about the show, Marini said it’s been a blessing to be a part of the show. Cheryl Bruke, Marini’s partner, said that the final results are in the hands of the fans, adding “We’ve done all we can do.”
Shawn Johnson, at 17, happens to be the youngest competitor of the show. Laying bare her mind, Johnson appeared to be satisfied about her performance. “Win, lose or draw, I gave my best,” said Johnson.
It’s anybody’s game now
Considering Shawn’s terrific dance performance Monday night, the oomph and sex appeal of Gilles and Melissa’s huge ‘Bachelor’ fan-following, it’s anybody’s game now.

Gilles and Cheryl: 58
Shawn and Mark: 58
Melissa and Tony: 56
The competition is tough and, with Shawn and Gilles ahead of Melissa just by two points, there is really small margin. And the decision, more or less, is likely to depend on the voters who will rule the roost in deciding the winner of today’s final.
