Mozilla introduces advanced version of Firefox 3

Mozilla has unveiled a newer, more stable version of Firefox 3.0 – the Beta 2. The company claims the latest version of the popular web browser is far more convenient and has numerous other improvements over its predecessor.

 <p>Firefox 3 beta 2 includes comes with an upgraded Download Manager, which now exhibits the domain of the site from which the file originated next to each entry. Also, the history and bookmarking systems have been bettered.  </p>
<p>According to Mozilla, the new release has fitted a feedback about security from Beta 1 testers, and ensures that cookies and other Web content is only visible in a single domain.</p>
<p>"We encourage testers to download and install the Beta 2 release to test it against the Web sites they normally visit, and provide feedback about any incompatibilities," Mozilla said in a statement. "It is intended for testing purposes only."</p>
<p>The Beta 2 includes security notices that are easy to comprehend, and a password manager that verifies the password entered, and confirms it is correct before Mozilla saves it. Also, it includes an automatic check for insecure plugins, extensions and Java, and anti-virus integration with the new download manager.</p>
<p>The company also said that Beta 2 has refurbished personalization tools, a superior support for offline browsing and Web-based protocol handlers, and full-page zooming. The text and graphics depiction has also been enhanced. The faster pace of Firefox 3 has been quite palpable. </p>
<p>Although no new visual styles have arrived for Windows and Mac OS X, with Beta 2, Mozilla has introduced the native GTK theme for Firefox’s default icons, buttons, and menu styles in Linux.</p>
<p>The 1st version of Firefox 3 was released in November and Mozilla said it would fix only 20 percent of its known bugs before the new version is released.</p>
