Seven astronauts arrived at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida last Sunday. They will be undergoing more training for the scheduled December 7 launch of the Discovery Space Shuttle STS- 116.

On Wednesday, the Hurricane season, which began June 11, will be officially over. What was predicted to be an active year for hurricanes, turned out to be uneventful.

This year brought only 9 named storms.

U.S. researchers examined brain cells of Humpback Whales and reported on Monday that they share intelligence equivalent to human beings, apes, and other cetaceans such as dolphins.

These cells were bragged to set humans and great apes apart from other mammals.

The Ringed Planet, as Saturn is sometimes called, has been usually photographed with smudges present on its rings. Scientists, for many years now, are looking for the reason behind the smudges. One possible reason that seems to logically explain this exciting phenomenon is lightning.
