At 15:17 the BSE 30-share Sensex has gained by 73 points at 10682 and the NSE 50-share Nifty is up by 17 points at 3146

The markets advanced further led by buying in heavy weights like Satyam Computers, TISCO, Reliance, ONGC and Infosys. Hero Honda has gained by 0.6% to Rs. 799 after the company announced that its total vehicle sales last month were up 23.2% at 278,660 vehicles (including exports) as against 226,073 units in the same month last year. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 810 and a low of Rs. 790 and has recorded volumes of over 1.2 lakh shares on NSE.

However, the Fed has still left the door open for further firming if the data suggests that inflation in the world's second-largest economy is still at uncomfortable levels.
