Market opens with negative bias

Mumbai -- Weak Global Cues forced markets to register the negative opening today. Index heavy weights like ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, ABB, Hero Honda and HLL are down as selling pressure continues.

Market closes below 12k mark

Mumbai -- The market got a negative push in the late afternoon trades, that forced it to reverse its five day winning trend. Sharp profit booking was witnessed at higher levels pulling the Sensex below the 12000 and Nifty below 3460. Cipla, Tata Motors, Grasim, HLL and L&T were the major losers among the 30 Sensex scrips.

Technology stocks spur while Auto stocks dip

Mumbai -- The market continues to trade with positive bias and has surged higher in the afternoon trades. Metal and Technology stocks have pushed the markets higher. At 2:09pm (IST), the BSE 30-share Sensex has jumped by 71 points at 12141 and NSE 50-share Nifty is up by 17 points to 3510. Satyam Computer, Tata Chemicals, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Hindalco, Colgate and MTNL are the major gainers among the 50-scrips of the NSE Nifty.

ONGC, Rana Sugars & PVR surge higher

Mumbai -- The market is still paving the path with smart gains.

After announcing its plan to buy stakes in Oil fields in Cuba, Kazakhstan, ONGC has surged higher by 0.2% to Rs. 1158. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 1170 and a low of Rs. 1158 and has recorded volumes of over 3,00,000 shares on NSE.

Dr. Reddy`s , Satyam & Reliance Comm. are firm

Mumbai -- After registering positive bias in the opening trade today, the market has been witnessing range-bound moves. In the late morning trade the BSE Sensex has traded at 12,113.47, up 42.17 points, and the Nifty was up 6.15 points or 0.18% at 3498.9.

Market opens with positive bias

Mumbai -- Strengthening crude and weakening yen helped push the Asian markets into green terrain on Tuesday. After three weeks of decline, crude oil gained its pace for the second day, inching towards the USD 64 a barrel mark again.

Cement, Sugar and Tea stocks trading firm

Mumbai -- Though the share index is off its intra-day high, but it is still in the positive . FMCG, engineering and pharma stocks are witnessing positivity, while profit booking continued in select software and auto stocks. At 2:37pm, the BSE Sensex was trading at 12,052.49, up 42.90 points.

HLL, HDFC & Reliance Comm keeps it Upbeat

Mumbai -- After opening in green territory in the morning and remaining upbeat in the later morning session, the market is still advancing further with smart gains. At 1:02 PM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 12,065.34, up 55.75 points.

Suzlon Energy & pharma stocks surge high

Mumbai -- Market is moving further with its positive trend. The Sensex moved a little above 12100, and Nifty crossed 3,500 for the first time since May 2006. Sensex opened at 12,006 and rallied to a high of 12,112. Nifty opened at 3479 and touched a high of 3506. The index is now trading higher by 18 points at 3497.

Market opens in green

Mumbai -- The markets opened with positive bias in the morning. In the early morning session today, the Sensex was up 48 points at 12058 and the Nifty was at 3496.

The major gainers on the indices were Reliance Comm, Gujarat Ambuja, L&T, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Suzlon Energy, Wipro and TCS.
