DreamWorks blending animation techniques

Glendale -- Hollywood's DreamWorks Animation SKG says it will use computer-generated and traditional animation techniques for its film "Me and My Shadow."

The original 3D project is slated for release in March 2013.
Mark Dindal is the film's director, and Melissa Cobb and Teresa Cheng are serving as producers.

Muscat gets its own opera house

Muscat -- An Italian style opera house is under construction in Muscat, Oman, Iman Hindawi, director-general of the Royal Opera House, said.

In an interview with Middle East Online, Hindawi said she hopes construction of the 16th century style building will be completed for the official opening next October.

Oman's music loving Sultan Qaboos initiated the project in 2001, the Web site said.

The initial concept was drawn up by Theatre Projects Consultants of Great Britain and the architectural firm Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo, Hindawi said.
