New York, November 25: The Brits dominated the International Emmys at the awards night held on Monday, bagging seven out of the ten awards.

David Suchet won the best actor award for his portrayal of Robert Maxwell in the 2007 BBC biography series titled “Maxwell.” He played the role of the British media tycoon who encounters scandals every other day in his life throughout his lifetime.

Los Angeles -- Bob Balaban has signed on to direct the U.S. television movie "Georgia O'Keeffe," starring Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons, Lifetime said Thursday.

Balaban, an actor-writer who helped pen and produce "Gosford Park," will direct the TV movie about the famous artist, which was written by Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Cristofer.

"Lifetime is committed to being a destination for top creative talent, providing an environment that allows filmmakers to deliver their projects to a broad audience," Tanya Lopez, Lifetime Networks senior vice president of original movies, said in a statement. "In working with such brilliant and respected actors as Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons, Lifetime reiterates its commitment to the production of first-rate motion picture projects."

New York -- Production has begun in New York on "Cupid," a new romantic dramedy starring Bobby Cannavale and Sarah Paulson, ABC said Thursday.

Cannavale is best known for his work on "Will & Grace" and Paulson starred in the short-lived series "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

"In 'Cupid,' Trevor (Cannavale) is a larger-than-life character who may or may not be the Roman god of love, Cupid. Trevor insists that he was sent to earth to bring couples together," ABC said in a news release. "As fate would have it, he is under the care of famous psychologist and self-help author Dr. Claire Allen (Paulson,) who is also dedicated to helping lonely hearts find their soul mates. While she agrees with his cause, she questions whether he's crazy or really is Cupid."

Los Angeles -- Hollywood actor Emilio Estevez has signed up to guest star on an upcoming episode of "Two and a Half Men," CBS announced Thursday.

The sit-com stars Estevez's real-life brother, Charlie Sheen.

Estevez will play character Charlie's former drinking and partying buddy who drops by for a visit.

"My dad (Martin Sheen) did the show a couple of years ago, so it was only a matter of time until someone of my brother's talent could also come and play in our sandbox," Charlie Sheen said in a statement.

Estevez's film credits include "The Breakfast Club," "St. Elmo's Fire,"
"Young Guns" and "Young Guns II." Estevez also wrote, directed and starred in the critically acclaimed film "Bobby," a film about the assassination of Sen.
