Titan, Geometric Software & Oil prices rise

Mumbai -- At 10:35 am (IST),Titan has gained by 1.7% to Rs. 613.
The company is to declare their Q1 result today. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 617 and a low of Rs. 599 and has recorded volumes of over shares on BSE.
At 10:43 am (IST),Geometric Software has gained by 2.3% to Rs. 100. The company to post their Q1 results today. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 101 and a low of Rs. 95 and has recorded volumes of over 3 lakh shares on NSE.
Mysore Cements has locked at 5% upper circuit at Rs. 48.40 after the company announced to sell shares to IFCI Ltd. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 48.40 and a low of Rs. 46.50 and has recorded volumes of over 93 thousand shares on BSE.
At 11:00 am (IST), the BSE Sensex has lost 127 point at 10556 and NSE Nifty is down by 37 points at 3086.
The markets are losing their grounds led by heavy selling in heavy weights like HDFC, Bajaj Auto, M&M, HLL, GAIL, Maruti Udyog and Sun Pharma. HDFC and M&M are the major losers among the 30-share Nifty.
Global cues were also in bad health. Asian stocks were mostly down this morning. The Morgan Stanley Capital International Asia-Pacific excluding Japan Index fell 1 percent to 317.57 as of 12:07 p.m. in Sydney. The Hang Seng in Hong Kong was down 128 points at 16,007. Japan and South Korea are closed for a holiday. All markets open in the region declined. Taiwan's Taiex index dropped 2.3%, the biggest slide.
Oil prices crossed $ 78 a barrel for the first time on Friday as conflict in the Middle East escalated. Oil closed at a record $ 77.03 a barrel in New York and was recently at $ 77.52 in after-hours trading.
In emerging markets, the Bovespa of Brazil was flat at 35,349 and Russia's RTS index was down 0.2% at 1484.
HLL and ITC are the major gainers among the FMCG stocks
FMGC stocks are trading lower on back of heavy selling pressure in HLL, the scrip has lost by 2.4% to Rs. 235, ITC is down by 1% to Rs. 174, Colgate slips by 1.8% to Rs. 389 and Dabur shed 0.2% to Rs. 146.
