At 10:50 am (IST), the BSE 30-share Sensex is up by 128.35 points at 10790 and the NSE 50-share Nifty has gained by 32.55 points at 3171.

After testing lower levels at the opening trade market recovers ob back of buying in Metal, FMCG and IT stocks. Buying is also seen in index heavy weights like Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, Satyam Computers and ACC. Metal stocks are trading with gains on back of firm International metal prices. Tata steel surged by 1.3% to Rs. 545, Sterlite India gained by 0.8% to Rs. 404, Hindalco is up by 0.4% to Rs. 177.40 and SAIL edged higher by 2% to Rs. 83.75.

Tech stocks have recorded smart gains on back expectation of better Q1 results. Infosys has gained by 1% to Rs. 3187, Satyam Computers rose by 1% to Rs. 734, Wipro surged by 0.5% to Rs. 503 and I-Flex has gained by 1.1% to Rs. 1144.

Cement stocks are witnessing fresh buying. ACC has gained by 0.8% to Rs. 796, Grasim rose by 2.1% to Rs. 1930, Prism surged by 1% to Rs. 28 and Gujarat Ambuja Cement is up by 1% to Rs. 100.

The company is to Implement Far-Reaching ILM Solution for Dubai Municipality. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 738.90 and a low of Rs. 715 and has recorded volumes of over 7.5 lakh shares on NSE.
