Nintendo showed off its new gaming console called Revolution and also presented the Game Boy Micro, the next version handheld console which became a hit in the 80s. "We will show the world what a next-gen system can be," Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said. "Revolution marries the strongest heritage of innovation to the future of gaming," he said. As is the case with Sony Playstation 3, Revolution would not be on sale until next year where as Microsoft Xbox hits markets worldwide this Christmas, which gives Microsoft an edge. But ultimate success to any gaming console would be dependent upon the game title they make available. Here also, Microsoft has tird up with Japanese Firm Square Enix, producer of the popular "Final Fantasy" role game. Nintendo hopes to take back its No. 1 position which it lost to Sony around 10 years ago. Nintendo Revolution will also offer downloadable database of 20 years of game titles which n obody else can boast of, including the favorites like Super Mario. | ||
