Market slides into Red

At 12:27 pm, the BSE Sensex is down by 13 points at 10597 and the NSE Nifty has lost by 12 points at 3116.

After registering weak opening markets slipped into red. At 12:27 pm (IST), the BSE Sensex is down by 13 points at 10597 and the NSE Nifty has lost by 12 points at 3116.

Tech stocks are trading high in a range bound market. Satyam Computers has gained by 1.3% to Rs. 719, NIIT LTD. is up by 15 to Rs. 371, Infosys has surged by 1.3% to Rs. 3117 and Rolta India rose by 1% to Rs. 149.30. However Wipro has lost by 1.5% to Rs505.

Maruti Udyog has gained by 0.5% to Rs. 801. The company will come up with 5 models in coming 5 years, and it would also invest Rs. 14bn to Rs. 15bn to increase the production capacity, said, its MD, Jagdish Khattar. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs815 and a low of Rs. 797 and has recorded volumes of over 4.9 lakh shares on NSE.
