Google will go personal very soon, by allowing visitors to display content of their choice below the query box on www.google.com

The service was demonstrated by Google Inc. at its headquarters during a press conference and is currently available for preview on labs.google.com

The end result will include different services from Google into one page, just like Yahoo or Microsoft.

Google is also working on new version of Google Earth that incorporates the technology from its latest acquisition of Keyhole. Keyhole developed a desktop application, now known as Google Earth, that lets users search within a database of highly detailed maps and satellite imagery. Google’s Web search capabilities will be incorporated into the next version of the product, available in the next few weeks, said John Hanke, general manager of Google Keyhole.
