Banking, Metal market stocks fall

ICICI Bank and Oriental Bank are the major losers among the bank stocks.

Banking stocks are registering profit booking. ICICI bank has lost by 3% to Rs. 484, Oriental Bank plunged over 5% to Rs. 171, SBI is down by 1.6% to Rs. 742 and HDFC Bank has lost by 1.4% to Rs. 796.

At 14:37 pm (IST), The BSE Sensex has lost by 183 points at 10736 and the NSE Nifty is down by 47 points to 3150

The markets declined further on back of heavy selling pressure in heavy weights like BHEL, Bajaj Auto, Reliance, ONGC, SAIL and Wipro. Oil and Gas, Metals, FMCG, Banks and Tech stocks are falling down sharply. Satyam Computers, Glaxo, TISCO and Dr. Reddy’s Lab are the major losers among the 50-Scrip NSE index.

Metal stocks lost their yesterday's gains led by heavy selling pressure in SAIL the scrip has lost by 2.3% to Rs. 82.50, Hindalco plunged over 25 to Rs. 175, Sesa Goa is down by 1% to Rs. 1082 and TISCO came down by 3% to Rs. 547.
