Bajaj Auto has gained by 0.8% to Rs. 2771. The company announced an increase in June sales by 33% to 213,918 units. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 2834.75 and a low of Rs. 2755.15 and has recorded volumes of over 31 thousand shares on NSE.

Ranbaxy has gained by 1% to Rs. 359.57 after the company got a nod for Cephalosporin antibiotic from USFDA. The scrip has touched a high of Rs. 362 and a low of Rs. 356 and has recorded volumes of over 4.9 lakh shares on NSE.

At 10:13 am (IST), the BSE 30-share Sensex is up by 32 points at 10640 and NSE Nifty is up by 6 points at 3119. Infosys has reported 18% sequential growth in net profit at Rs. 7.94bn.

The markets have opened on a strong note on back of excitement of above expectations Infosys results, putting behind fears of last night's bombings that rocked the city.
