Auto, cement markets gain
At 1:23 pm (IST), the Sensex is up by 21 points at 10717 and NSE Nifty is up by 2 points at 3153.
The markets are showing lacklustre movement after registering a positive opening. Profit booking at higher levels has brought the indices down from today's high. ONGC, Tata Power, L&T and HLL are the major losers among the 30 Sensex stocks.
Cement stocks are trading with gains after the company announced its monthly sales numbers. ACC June sales rose 4.6% to 1.54 mn tons, Gujarat Ambuja June sales rose 9% to 1.18 mn tons. ACC has gained by 1.50% to Rs. 794, Grasim Industries is up by 0.5% to Rs. 1910 and Mangalam Cement is up by 2% to Rs. 165.
Auto stocks have pared their early gains. Bajaj Auto is up by 1% to Rs. 2766, Maruti is up by 0.77% to Rs. 799 after touching high of Rs. 807 and Tata Motors is up by 2% to Rs. 802 after touching a peak of Rs. 810.60.
Sanwaria Agro has gained by 2% to Rs. 75.50 after the company Board approved a stock split from the present Rs. 5 paid up to Rs. 2 paid up.
