Los Angeles, February 2:Famed Australian model Cheyenne Tozzi has been surrounded by turmoil after receiving death threats from a dangerous stalker, according to a report from the Daily Telegraph.
The high profile model, from the beach suburb of Cronulla, in Sydney's south received a series of threatening calls from an unknown man while holidaying back in Australia, forcing the Mambo babe contact the police and hire a personal bodyguard.
After receiving numerous death calls on her mobile phone, Tozzi promptly called in the police and hired bodyguards to ensure her safety.
"She is an extremely high-profile and beautiful girl and this has happened, but she is not letting it faze her," Telegraph quoted Tozzi’s agent, Pricilla Leighton-Clark, as saying.
Cronulla police declined to comment on the issue. However fashion insiders told the newspaper that Tozzi has been spotted with a bodyguard.
Tozzi has been based in New York for the past 12 months to fulfill her international modeling commitments. She recently returned to Australia for a holiday when the threatening phone calls were made.
It's also believed that Tozzi has moved from her family's Cronulla home to an unknown location.
According to Leighton-Clarke, Tozzi is focusing on her career and is planning to return to New York.
Born on Nov. 30, 1988 in Cronulla, Australia, Tozzi is the famed model who graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar Australia at age 13, as well as featured in an ad campaign for Just Jeans.
Labeled as "The Next Elle McPherson," the 5'10" model's portfolio also includes print ads for Bonds Australia, Jets Swimwear, Newport News, Spiegel, and many magazine editorials.
The blonde model is now represented by IMG Models, Storm Models, and Priscillas Models Management.
Along with her former model, mother Yvonne and older sister Tahyna, Tozzi represents Australia's Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign.
Tozzi is also known for her high-profile relationships, ranging from her links to Ksubi designer Dan Single to Paris Hilton's ex. She also famously dated U.S. oil heir Brandon Davis.
