Los Angeles, January 29: The 51st Annual Grammy Awards are sure to be a hearty treat for the audience as they will converge some of the biggest performers on stage, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, on Feb 8.
The already tempting lineup comprising of Coldplay, Paul McCartney with Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, Radiohead, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, T.I., Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Hudson, Jonas Brothers, has recently been enhanced with the addition of U2, Kid Rock, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss and Rihanna.
Big rappers, bigger bands and a Beatle: the Grammy’s could not be any better. The organizers, it seems, are leaving no stone unturned in pulling the audience and making them stick to the show, to be aired live on CBS.
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, who have five Grammy nominations this year, will also take to the stage for a performance, as will the rest of the nominees of the prestigious ‘Album of the Year’ award, except for Ne-Yo.
Katy Perry, it was announced earlier, will perform as part of the ‘My Grammy Moment’ segment during the show. The contest is being run for the third year and fans can send in sing-along videos of Perry's ‘I Kissed A Girl’. The selected one will be played during her performance on Feb 8.
Kanye West and Jay-Z, who have won six nominations each, will perform 'Swagger Like Us' alongside T.I. Rihanna is up for three awards and Kid Rock has been nominated in the categories of ‘Best Rock Album’ and ‘Best Male Vocal Pop Performance.’
Not all of these stars will be called on the stage and presented with trophies but most of them will definitely step up to entertain the audience.
The first list of presenters of the awards has also been revealed. It includes: Simon Baker of ‘The Mentalist’, Jack Black, winner of three Grammy’s and current nominee Charlie Haden, Duffy, who is up for three awards this time, another nominee Josh Groban, Samuel L. Jackson and Academy Award-winning actress and a Grammy nominee this year, Gwyneth Paltrow.
