Washington, January 21: Cameras on Tuesday night were focused on stage at the Western States Inauguration Ball, where some of the most high-profile couples canoodled during a ceremonial inaugural dance.

President Barack Obama swayed to the tunes with first lady Michelle near midnight following vice president Joe Biden’s dance with his better half, Jill.

Obama received a deafening response from the crowd as he greeted them. After making some graceful moves with his wife, he said “Michelle does everything I do, but she does it in heels."

Hurling his last message at the audience, he said, "Let's go change America."

Vice president Biden joked about having two left feet and said, "Now you are going to see I can't dance." However, he did make some moves with Jill, saying, "I may not be able to dance, but I sure like holding her."

A little while ago, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony had also used the same stage for public display of affection, putting to rest all speculation regarding their break-up. Much to the excitement of the crowd, Marc Anthony invited Lopez to sing with him onstage at the Western Ball.

Looking ravishing in a white gown with flashes of gold, Lopez went up to her husband and the two launched a love ballad in Spanish, performing salsa, gazing into each other’s eyes and looking so much in love. The couple closed their performance with a kiss.

While the crowd cheered Lopez as she exited the stage, Anthony gushed, "Man, she's cute."

Before going onstage, Marc Anthony talked about serenading his wife, saying "I wrote this next song about Jennifer. I must have been psychic." He was talking about ‘You sang to me,’ which he’d written almost 10 years ago.

"She didn't get the point, but eventually it worked," he said.
