World champion boxer Laila Ali and husband welcomed their first child together, a baby boy. Ali, daughter of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, delivered a beautiful, healthy, baby boy, named Curtis Muhammad Conway, on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.

Ali announced the baby news on her Website on Thursday. The couple named their 6.8 pound baby after his father i.e. former NFL star Curtis Conway and Ali's father, Muhammad Ali.
According to Ali's publicist, Thea Ellis, the 30-year-old super middleweight champ Laila had planned to have a natural, home birth, but due to some “surprises during labor” forced her to change birth plan. The rep declined to elaborate, except to say: "Mom and baby are both healthy and happy."
In her “Baby Blog,” where she continuously blogged throughout her pregnancy, Ali wrote: "He’s a healthy baby boy who weighed 6.8 lbs and measured 19 inches long. Mama and baby are resting."
Ali married 37-year-old retired NFL wide receiver Curtis Conway in July 2007 in a private ceremony in Los Angeles. The two met two years ago when Conway hosted a small party at his home and Ali attended the party with a friend.
Laila Ali, an athlete and champion boxer also known for her health and fitness, is the youngest daughter of one of the most famous boxers in history, the legendary Muhammad Ali and his third wife Veronica Porsche Anderson.
Ali is a professional boxer who made her boxing debut at the age of 21 on October 9, 1999 in Verona, NY, knocking out April Fowler. Before becoming a boxer, she owned a nail salon in California.
Ali, who is 5' 10" tall, with a reach of 70.5", and weighs around 175 pounds, became a household name when she starred in the TV show, "Dancing with the Stars. She was a participant in the fourth season of the American version of the television show “Dancing with the Stars.” Ali had no previous dancing experience, and her professional dancing partner was Maksim Chmerkovskiy. They came in third place in the competition, losing to Apolo Anton Ohno, whose professional dancing partner was Julianne Hough and Joey Fatone, who paired with Kym Johnson.
Before marrying Curtis on July 23, 2007, Ali married Johnny "Yahya" McClain on August 27, 2000. She met McClain through her sister Hana at her father's 57th birthday party. McClain became her manager and helped guide her career. In late 2005 Ali and McClain divorced and McClain quit managing her. After the divorce, tabloids reported that Ali divorced McClain because she was a lesbian and having an affair with Queen Latifah. However, Ali denied the rumors, saying she didn't even know Latifah.
Curtis Jr. is the first child together for Ali and Conway. Conway has twin sons Kelton and Cameron, 13, and daughter Leilani, 9, from a previous relationship.
