" title="Lil’ Wayne’s Random rationale "/> Lil’ Wayne, the rapper from New Orleans is out with his new album, ‘Tha Carter III.’ Hanging down mostly from the strings of Wayne’s self-promotion, the album was highly-anticipated following a couple of advanced release dates and a huge buzz after its leak, last June. What exactly is the album about, we don’t know. It does not follow any theme, it is not related to anything and one cannot even expect it to make much sense. The album is just an assorted mix of free-form lyrics which discuss anything from shooting grandmothers; babies being kidnapped; his own greatness; a near-death experience; Viagra; Adam Sandler; the new house he bought for his mother; ESPN. The album opens with: "I know what you watchin: Me !," in Wayne’s croaky hum. "You watch me, you watch me/'Cause I be Weezy/Must-see TV." Then, there is: ‘Tie my hands,’ a musical commentary on his hometown that features Robin Thicke. "I'm just speaking about the city in general," he said of the track. "How we were before the hurricane and how we are after. [I'm saying] everything about the city that somebody that's not from here can't do. I'm from here, born and raised. Telling them what I think about the situation. The way this movie ties into it is that I think the song is positive and gives motivation." Other tracks include ‘Phone Home,’ where he supposedly raps like an alien, ‘Mrs. Officer,’ – a fantasy about getting on with a police woman; he also goes on to talk about rats in ‘You Ain't Got Nuthin' on Me’ and other bizarre stuff. Wayne, whose actual name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. was born on September 27, 1982. At the age of 15, he formed the rap group, Hot Boys, along with rappers Juvenile, Turk, and B.G. His solo career began with ‘The Block is Hot’ in 1999. Wayne, then released ‘Lights Ou’ in 2000 and ‘500 Degree’z in 2002 to little success, which were followed by the bestseller ‘Tha Carter I’, in 2001. In 2005, Wayne came up with ‘Tha Carter II’ which debuted as No. 2 on the Billboard charts. And ever since, Wayne had been proclaiming how great ‘Tha Carter III’ would be. Wayne is not unaware of his inexplicable nature, as he admitted in a recent interview, “I can explain me in one word: Unexplainable.” Flowing in his unexplainable tide, Wayne has also had a stint with Hollywood. Although he does not aspire to be a full-time actor, Wayne is elated about grabbing a role in the film ‘Hurricane Season,’ which centers on a New Orleans high school basketball team called the Patriots in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. |
