Jamie Lynn Spears, the 17-year-old sister of popstar Britney Spears threw a baby shower on Saturday at her parents’ home in Kentwood, La., where she invited about 30 close friends and family members. Of course, elder sister Britney and Mama Spears were present.

After being spaced out for several months, the two sisters finally got together. Britney had not visited Kentwood since the funeral of her aunt in early 2007. She flew into the town aboard a private jet on Friday, together with her father and co-conservator Jamie Spears.
Helicopters of the Paparazzi motioned above the family home, while the local sheriff’s office struggled to keep photographers on the ground at a bay.
The guests were warned beforehand, not to discuss any of Britney's antics, revealed a source, close to the family. The pop singer who has experienced a major upheaval in her life in the recent past apologized for putting her family through all kinds of drama in the years bygone.
The celebrations were complete with Southern style food, including a family favorites, macaroni and cheese.
"Jamie Lynn opened every gift," said a source, adding that mom Lynne and fiancé Casey Aldridge's mother lent a hand. "We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. It was just a good old-fashioned baby shower."
Although, the occasion invited more media than visitors, a guest described it as a normal shower, “A wonderful, sweet occasion.”
Britney Spears is expected to be in LA on Tuesday to be present at the next court hearing in her child custody trial with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
