Miley Cyrus expresses her gratitude to supportive fans

Miley Cyrus, the teenage superstar who last week was surrounded by controversy due to her two sets of racy photos, on Saturday rocked the stage at the 2008 Disney Channel Games concert, shattering all rumors suggesting Disney might want to cease the collaboration with the star because of her involvement in the sexy photo scandal.

She also expressed her gratitude to all her fans for having given her their support.

"I hope you had an awesome time," Cyrus told the crowd after her performance at the stage. "I saw a sign back there that said, 'Miley, I'm praying for you.' I could not be more appreciative. Thank you guys for all your support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love everyone of you and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you."

Miley Cyrus made headlines few months ago when her barely dressed and nude photos popped up on the Internet. The 15-year-old actress playing Hannah Montana in the hit Disney series late last month again landed in the midst of racy photo scandal with new pictures popping up on the Internet.

On April 21, a set of Miley’s eyebrow-raising pictures was released on the Internet featuring her in the arms of a young male friend, and pulling up her white tank top to reveal a lacy, green neon bra.

Although, there is no nudity in those pictures of Disney pop princess circulating the net, but maybe a little too much skin for a teen girl.

Last week, the Acting and singing sensation Miley Cyrus also felt embarrassed for posing topless and wrapped in what appears to be a satin bedsheet in the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about," Cyrus said at the time in a statement through her publicist.

The Vanity Fair photos, snapped by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz, will hit the stands in June. These pictures accompany an interview with the pop star and her father, the country music singer, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Disney pop princess last year also stirred the headlines with her racy pictures that made rounds on the Internet. In the shots, the teen singer was seen in her underwear, lifting up her shirt as well as sharing a piece of candy with a female friend at a slumber party.

On Saturday, Miley started her performance with song "See You Again" and also debuted her two new songs, "Fly on the Wall" and "Breakout," off her upcoming album, dropping on July 22.

In spite of Miley’s involvement in recent scandals, the spirits of her fans were too high. During her performance, her fans, who were standing in front of the stage, were chanting "Miley" in between her performances.
