Rumors swirl about Pitt & Jolie's Secret Nuptials

Rumor mill, over the weekend, churned out stories of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s long-awaited wedding. Two big celebrity magazines, People and Star, fought this weekend for the true breaking news about Hollywood super couple’s wedding.

While Star magazine reported that Hollywood’s hottest couple had finally tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in New Orleans this weekend, People insisted that Star’s information is fake, saying Brangelina nuptials did not take place.

According to Star’s version, couple’s marriage did take place on Saturday at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel in New Orleans. “We talked to someone who was there. It was at the French Quarter Wedding Chapel,” Star editor-in-chief Candace Trunzo told the New York Daily News.

However, the chapel’s minister, Rev. Tony Talavera said he didn’t perform any such marriage. “Brad and Angelina did not get married by us,” he said.

Likewise, other reporters could not find any evidence of the rumored nuptials. However, Trunzo insisted to the Daily News that their sources were reliable.

Merely hours after Star’s news circulated, People.com quoted a source close to Pitt and Jolie as saying there was “no wedding” for the golden couple. The US weekly magazine also claims that Brad Pitt isn't even in New Orleans, but in Texas, where he is filming a movie “Tree of Life” with Sean Penn.

None of the couple's publicists confirmed the information that has been circulating over the weekend. Pitt's rep would only say about the rumored happy news that she had "no idea" if they were true or not.

Brangelina marriage rumors started circulating last month when Jolie disclosed she is pregnant with Pitt's second biological child. Best-known for her roles in "Girl, Interrupted," the two "Lara Croft" movies, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "A Mighty Heart," Jolie is pregnant and due later this year. The Academy Award-winning American actress now stars in the action film Wanted, opening in June.

Jolie, a former fashion model, and a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, has four other children, a son Maddox, 6, whom she adopted in neighboring Cambodia in 2002, a 3 years old daughter Zahara, whom she adopted in year 2006 from Ethiopia, Pax, 4, from Vietnam, and a 21-month-old biological daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, with Brad Pitt, an Academy Award-nominated American actor.

Jolie, who is often cited by popular media as one of the world's most beautiful women, won an Oscar in 1999 for best supporting actress in "Girl, Interrupted". She starred in the 2001 movie "Tomb Raider" which was filmed in Cambodia, neighbouring Vietnam.

The hot couple starred in the 2005 movie Mr & Mrs Smith, an action thriller laced with comedy.

If the wedding rumor is true, this would be a third marriage for Jolie, who has been married twice, to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, and the second for Pitt, whose first was with Jennifer Aniston.
