Lopez names her newborn twins Max and Emme

The heartthrob of millions, the singing and acting sensation, Jennifer Lopez and her salsa singer hubby Marc Anthony who recently became proud parents of twins have named their newborn kids Max and Emme, a rep for superstar Lopez has confirmed.

J. Lo's manager Simon Fields confirmed the news to People Friday.

Lopez and husband Marc Anthony were blessed with the double baby joy on early last Friday (Feb. 22) morning. The babies were delivered in a Long Island, New York hospital. The girl, now named Emme, was born at 12:12 a.m. and weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz., and younger brother Max followed at 12:23 a.m., weighing 6 lbs.

"Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," Fields said previously.

According to the People, near and dear ones have been thronging the family's Long Island home with gifts, including pillows and baby carriers with the newborn kids' names embroidered on them.

The brother and sister are the first children for 38-year-old Lopez, and the fourth and fifth for Anthony, 39. Anthony already has three children from two previous relationships.

After months of speculation Lopez confirmed her pregnancy at a Miami concert in November. Last month, Lopez' father David had confirmed the singer and actress is pregnant with twins.

Born in the Bronx on July 24, 1970, Lopez always wanted to be a performer. Her dance moves, overwhelming stage presence, and soon-to-be-famous Latina curves were the stuff of talent agents' dreams.

She made her acting debut with the title role in the feature film Selena, for which she scored a Golden Globe Best Actress nomination. Drawing a paycheck of $1 million for the movie she became the highest-paid Latina actress in history.

Her music debut came with ‘On The 6’.The album reached the Billboard 200, top ten charts.

The multifaceted performer then took to entrepreneurship. Lopez owns two clothing lines, JLO by Jennifer Lopez and Sweetface that offer stylish wear for young women.

According to the website A Socialite's Life, J. Lo is the richest Hispanic in Hollywood and according to People en Español's list of "100 Most Influential Hispanics" she is the most influential Hispanic entertainer in America.

Lopez appeared in the 2007 ‘Guinness World Records’ as the most powerful actress, and was on the The Hollywood Reporter's list of the top ten actress salaries in 2002, 2003, and 2004. She made the 2007 Forbes magazine's list of The 20 Richest Women In Entertainment, ranking ninth. Her wealth is estimated to be $250 million.

Married twice before, singer Marc Anthony is her third husband. Lopez and Anthony got married in a secret wedding on June 5, 2004. Before her marriage to Anthony, Lopez was married to waiter Ojani Noa from 1997-98 and to dancer Cris Judd from 2001-02.
