Now it is License to Wed for Pamela and Rick

Two of the most well known personalities with online sex tapes to their credit were seeking a license to wed in Las Vegas, according to reports emanating out of the Marriage License Bureau of Clark County. The two people in question are ex-Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon.

Anderson had first announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in September about a new man in her life. She had been a guest on the show in the immediate aftermath of the famous brawl between her two ex-husbands, ex-Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and Kid Rock (a.k.a Robert Ritchie) during the MTV Video Music Awards.

As with most things regarding Pamela, including her much downloaded ‘tape’ with Tommy Lee, her statement on The Ellen DeGeneres Show was explicit and direct. She proclaimed in the show that there was a new man in her life, and that the new man came in when she paid off a poker debt with sexual favors. That, apparently, hold your breath, led to love.

In that show, Pamela also claimed she found the whole situation romantic, thereby confirming everything in this world, including romance, was a matter of perspective. At that point, she mercifully did not name the man she was in ‘love’ with. She further said then that she did not know if they would get married.

Well, now we know who the mystery man is, and we also know the two are in the process of making up their minds. They have taken the first step in the direction leading to the altar. When it happens, this would be Pamela’s third walk down the aisle.

Pamela tied the knot for the first time with Tommy Lee in 1995, filmed their honeymoon canters (which found their way to the Internet and propelled the two ex-stars to front page news all over the world), and then divorced three years and two kids later in 1998. In 2003, she paired up with Kid Rock, finally marrying him in 2006. That marriage lasted just four months.

Rick Salomon also brings impeccable credentials as far as the gossip mills are concerned. A producer and Internet impresario, he was married briefly to Shannen Doherty in 2002. That married did not last too long, once Doherty came to know he was back with his ex-love Paris Hilton again.

While the news is that Pamela and Salomon were seeking a license, there are no signs of wedding bells in the near future yet. That may well take its own time, considering a marriage license is valid for a one-year period, meaning the two would have one full year from the time of obtaining the license in which to get hitched.
