" title="" oops" girl faces fresh allegations "/> Troubles for falling pop star Britney Spears do not seem to stop anywhere instead they are getting worse day by day. She first lost her lawyer, Laura Wasser and then her management team of one month, The Firm, dumped her, and recently her ex-bodyguard Tony Barretto offered to testify about singer’s drug use, nudity and child safety concerns in her home. Above all of it, media reports emerged over the weekend, saying Spears has hired a hit man to kill her ex-husband Kevin Federline, with whom she is engaged in a child-custody dispute. Britney Spears, the driving force behind the return of teen pop in the late '90s, filed divorce from her hubby in November, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her two-year marriage to Kevin Federline, better known as K-Fed. In her divorce petition, Britney sought custody of the children, with visitation rights for Federline. Acting promptly, Federline counter-filed court papers the following day seeking sole custody of their boys, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. Spears and Federline agreed to share 50-50 custody of their two sons when their divorce was finalized in late July. After departing from Federline, Britney has been seen partying hard with Paris Hilton. She was also criticized for her carelessness towards her children. Several photographs published showed Spears driving her SUV in Malibu, California with her then 4 months old son Sean Preston perched on her lap rather than strapped into a car seat in the back seat, and another time almost dropping him. Concerned with his ex-wife Spears’ erratic behavior, Kevin filed for primary custody of his sons on August 8, and hoped to be awarded physical custody of his two sons. "Kevin would like to have as much custody as he could because he feels that the children would benefit from that," Federline’s lawyer, Mark Kaplan had said at the time of filing. Now, rumors are moving around that US authorities are ready to temporarily transfer custody of the two boys to Kevin Federline. If the rumors happen to be true, it would be certainly a blow to Britney who is trying hard to gain custody of her toddlers. On Monday, Brit’s former bodyguard Tony Barretto who is allegedly a witness of all too much of Spears' miserable motherly skills said that he is ready to disclose about her "nudity ... drug use and safety issues involving the children." Despite Barretto’s consent to give testimony under oath, Spears' attorney chose not to cross-examine the bodyguard. Barretto, 28, was brought forward yesterday as the much-hyped secret witness in the child-custody battle between Spears and Federline. "He was reluctant to come forward and become embroiled in her custody dispute," insisted his lawyer, Gloria Allred. "He decided to do so because of his concern about the safety and well-being of the children. He is a father of young children himself." Spears received yet another blow yesterday when Jeff Kwatinetz, her new manager of just one month, and her powerhouse lawyer Laura Wasser quit. Wasser confirmed at court yesterday that she would be resigning as Britney's legal representation and that a new lawyer would be stepping in. Before she left, however, Wasser denied Barretto's drug use allegations about Spears, saying "He isn't a credible witness," further describing him as a "disgruntled former employee." Manager Kwatinetz of the Firm discarded Britney as a client after just one month of repping the troubled star. "It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears," the management company said. "We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record. But current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job. We wish Britney the best." Meanwhile, reports of an FBI investigation into a plot to kill Kevin Ferderline are abruptly rejected by the agency. A Los Angeles spokesperson for the FBI said, "The information on the Internet on these reports is not accurate. It did not come from the FBI at all." The popstar, who has always been interesting fodder for media wags, with her strange behavior dragged media attentions many a times. In February, Britney left her fans in shock and prompted fears over her mental health by wildly shaving-off her locks. She was also pictured crazily attacking a photographer's car with an umbrella when Kevin refused to open the door and let her into his house. After bout of bizarre behavior, the troubled pop star checked into the Promises treatment center in Malibu, California. Even, during her nearly one-month stay at the Promises Clinic, the “Oops!” girl tried to take her own life by hanging herself. According to a UK tabloid, after the suicide attempt the falling pop star asked Kevin on phone to father another child with her. Not only this, she has tainted her reputation by dressing scantily without underwear and dancing on stage with strippers. She has sullied her reputation to such an extent that she was recently booed at a game and a popular fan site dedicated to her was shut down. |
