The Game faces felony gun chargesby MT Bureau - June 6, 2007 - 0 comments
Los Angeles -- Los Angeles police charged gangsta rapper The Game with making a criminal threat and possessing a firearm in a school zone following his arrest last month. The Grammy-nominated rapper, real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, also was charged Monday with exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer, E! News reported. All charges are felonies. The incident leading to the charges was a Feb. 24 pickup basketball game in Taylor's old Compton neighborhood, prosecutors said. He allegedly got into a fight with a player from the opposing team, struck him then got a pistol from his vehicle and threatened the other player. He wasn't arrested until May 11. The rapper is scheduled to appear in a New York court next week for a November arrest when he allegedly impersonated an officer and ordered a cab driver to run red lights.
