Henin, Serena make French Open quarters

Paris, -- Belgian Justine Henin and Serena Williams Sunday won their fourth-round matches at the French Open Tennis Tournament in Paris.

Henin, the top seed and the No. 1 player in the latest women's rankings, beat Austria's Sybille Bammer 6-2, 6-4. She ran her match winning streak at the French to 29 straight, despite having her serve broken twice in the second set.

Williams, the eighth seed and eight-time Grand Slam winner, trounced No. 10 seed Dinara Safin of Russia 6-2, 6-3. Williams, the last American left in either the men's and women's play, will face Henin in the 19th Grand Slam quarterfinal of her career.

"I'm very excited about it," said Williams, who was booed by the Roland Garros patrons when Henin beat her in a temper-filled 2003 semifinal. "I don't want to reflect on what happened in 2003 any more. This is a new year and we are both different people."
