Nick Lachey supports Hunger Awarenessby MT Bureau - June 3, 2007 - 0 comments
Cincinnati -- Singer Nick Lachey, 33, served 65 free meals to poor children at a Salvation Army Community Center in Ohio Friday. Lachey was at the Kids Cafe event in Price Hill to support the national "Goin' Home for Hungry" campaign to promote hunger awareness, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported. "About 25 percent of Cincinnatians live below the poverty level. That's a mind-boggling statistic," said Lachey, who helped out at the event ahead of National Hunger Awareness Day, which is Tuesday. The Price Hill program was co-sponsored by America's Second Harvest food-bank network and included an autograph-signing session with Lachey. The Enquirer reported he signed dozens of autographs and also posed for numerous photos with kids. Copyright 2007 by United Press International. |
