Haas leads at seniors' Boeing Championshipby MT Bureau - June 3, 2007 - 0 comments
Sandestin, Fla. -- Jay Haas shot a 6-under 65 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the seniors Boeing Championship at Sandestin, Fla. Haas, the reigning Champions Tour Player of the Year, finished 36 holes at 13-under-par 129. Overnight co-leader Tom Purtzer had a 3-under 68 and is in second place at 130. The other first-round co-leader Eduardo Romero turned in a 69 Saturday and is third at 131. Loren Roberts was one behind until a double-bogey at the closing hole. He wound up with a 67 to join last week's Senior PGA Champion Denis Watson (67) and Brad Bryant (67) in fourth place at 132. Mark James had a 7-under 64 and is seventh at 133. David Eger (64), Mark McNulty (66), James Mason (67) and Massy Kuramoto (67) are tied for eighth at 134. Copyright 2007 by United Press International. |
