'Star Wars' stamps in USPS galaxy
Washington -- If you can't make the "Star Wars" 30th anniversary celebration this weekend in Los Angeles, you can commemorate the occasion by visiting your post office.
Fifteen "Star Wars" characters and gizmos are memorialized on postage stamps available at post offices Friday, the U.S. Postal Service in Washington said in a news release. The commemorative sheets were available earlier via online purchase.
The service is also expected to announce soon the character to be featured on a single stamp. In the run-up to the "Star Wars" stamps release, USPS conducted an online vote for patrons to decide the character to be singled out.
The stamps are scheduled be dedicated during the "Star Wars Celebration IV" at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
