" title="Imus' ex-producer trying out in Boston"/> Boston -- The former sidekick of fired shock jock Don Imus will audition live on a Boston radio program for a co-hosting position. Bernard McGuirk, who first used the word "ho" in the racist exchange that led to both his and Imus' ousters by CBS Radio, will audition to work with Tom Finneran on WRKO-AM, the Boston Globe said Friday. McGuirk is the latest in a number of guests as WRKO-AM seeks a co-host to spice up the former Massachusetts House speaker's show, "Finneran's Forum," which takes on news and politics for four hours each morning. This is show business -- it's about personality and it's about entertainment and there's no question in my mind, Bernard has an incredible personality," said Jason Wolfe, vice president of AM programming and operations for WRKO. Finneran said he is looking forward to testing his rapport with McGuirk on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week. Copyright 2007 by United Press International. |
