'Star Wars' captured both sexesby MT Bureau - May 7, 2007 - 0 comments
" title="'Star Wars' captured both sexes" /> London -- A survey by Britain's Sky Movies reveals that "Star Wars" and "Dirty Dancing" are the number one most watched movies by both men and women, respectively. The men's top five most watched movies list consisted of mostly sci-fi and action movies, including "Terminator 2," "Bladerunner" and "Alien," the BBC reported Sunday. For women, there was an added touch of romance with "Pretty Woman" and the musical "Grease," but "Star Wars" was still No. 2 on the distaff list. The survey was done by Sky Movies Sci-fi & Horror Channel as part of the Sci-Fi London film festival. The sci-fi and fantasy films "Star Wars," "The Terminator," "Jaws" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy were on the lists for both sexes and about half of those surveyed admitted to watching the "Star Wars" series more than 20 times. © Copyright 2007 United Press International |
