HBO and Justin Timberlake sign dealby MT Bureau - May 5, 2007 - 0 comments
NEW YORK -- The Home Box Office network and Justin Timberlake have struck a deal to feature the superstar singer in a concert special in New York later this summer. Timberlake previously appeared on HBO as a member of 'NSync in 2000. The concert will be held on Aug. 16 at New York's Madison Square Garden and will air on the pay cable network on Labor Day, Zap2it.com reported Friday. The performance, which features music from Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" album, will reportedly contain a few new twists. "Justin Timberlake is a dynamic performer, and we're thrilled to welcome him back to HBO," said HBO's concert special overseer, Nancy Geller. "We're especially excited that he'll be creating unique new elements for the special that will make the show an even more memorable experience for our viewers." Timberlake was born on January 31, 1981, in Memphis, TN. He sang lead on many tracks of the band's multi-platinum albums, including *NSYNC (1998), No Strings Attached (2000) and Celebrity (2001). Due to his good looks and charismatic personality he became quite famous with female fans. The blue-eyed soul crooners' life has regularly been a constant tabloid fodder, had on-again, off-again romance with pop singer Britney Spears, then got linked to Cameron Diaz, and others.
