" title="W220i – Latest launch of Sony Ericsson Walkman Phones"/> Sony Ericsson, today unveiled W200i, the latest member to join the well-accepted family of its Walkman phones. The phone is bundled with a Bass Reflex Headset, HPM-64 with an ergonomic in-ear design. The W200i is equipped with a digital music player; 20-channels preset stereo FM radio, mega bass, and VGA camera. Sony will allow the consumers to indulge with pre-loaded Java games while simultaneously capturing their favorite panoramas with the 4x zoom VGA camera. Users can send multimedia messages and connect to the mobile services in the same device. The memory though, is looking like an inadequacy as it provides only 128 MB card inside the pack, which of course, is expandable. “Sony should have offered at least 512 MB card, considering the high costs of Memory Sticks”, said Anirudh, a student who believes that for all its features, the price of the phone should have also been a little lower than it is. Sony Ericsson, in a statement said that with this launch, the company strengthens its portfolio of Walkman phones, giving consumers a range of handsets to choose from. “The W200i brings the Sony Ericsson’s unparalleled music technology to a wider market. It has been designed with a single dedicated Walkman key for the consumers to enjoy their favorite music whenever they want”, said Sudhin Mathur, General Manager of Sony Ericsson India at the Delhi launch event. Hrithik Roshan, Bollywood superstar and Sony Ericsson's India Brand Ambassador will feature in the first marketing campaign, with the spotlight on W200i (definitely, not competing with the former.) Priced at Rs.7,795 W200i will be on hand at all Sony Ericsson stores, Sony Worlds, and over 25,000 mobile outlets across the country. |
