Anna Nicole Smith in " Bedroom scandal " after death

The saga of Anna Nicole Smith doesn’t seem to end with her death instead it got another major twist on Monday when a newspaper published two photographs on its front page showing the voluptuous ex-Playboy model lying in bed with the Bahamian immigration minister in a romantic embrace.

The Tribune of Nassau, a Bahamian newspaper, yesterday printed two front-page photos in which the immigration minister Steve Gibson, who approved her application for permanent residency, can be seen with Smith, locked in a romantic embrace with "their faces only a couple inches apart."

Though the couple is fully clothed but appears close together in an embrace on a bed decorated with pink flowers and a white ribbon, looking into each other's eyes from a few inches.

The Bahamas newspaper said the photographs were shot in Smith's private bedroom and that it received the pictures on Sunday from an unidentified source.

Gibson, an elected member of Parliament from the ruling Progressive Liberal Party, came under political fire last year when opposition members accused him of granting Smith's permanent residency and giving special treatment to the buxom blonde celebrity, who was found unresponsive in a room of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday and later was pronounced dead by doctors.

Smith, who was born Vickie Lynn Hogan on Nov. 28, 1967, in Houston, Texas, was awarded residency in the Bahamas last year.

Smith’s residency application was based on her ownership claims of a waterfront mansion that her lawyers have said was given to her by a South Carolina developer who used to date Smith. However, the developer, G Ben Thompson says he never deeded Smith the house and is attempting to reclaim the property.

Meanwhile, Smith's partner, lawyer Howard K Stern, has reclaimed the Bahamas mansion over the weekend. Stern, who is listed on a birth certificate as Dannielynn's father, is living there with Smith’s infant daughter. Before the death of Smith, they had lived in the gated waterfront estate, known as Horizons.

The battle for custody of Smith's five-month-old daughter, whose paternity is yet to establish, has intensified as besides the two men, former lover Larry Birkhead, who has filed a lawsuit claiming he is the father, and Prince Frederic von Anhalt, husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor who announced Friday he had a decade-long affair with Smith and may be the girl's father, now Smith's former bodyguard, Alex Denk, also has entered the paternity scandal.

In a TV show, Alex Denk said that he was his employer's lover and may have fathered the child.

Adding more to this is a manuscript, a news agency has reportedly obtained, which says Smith froze the sperm of her late 90-year-old husband, Texas oil tycoon J Howard Marshall II, before his death and may have used it to become pregnant.

All this is happening apparently because of the possibility Dannielynn could inherit up to $US500 million from the estate of Smith's late husband, Marshall.

As the general elections in Bahamas are due this spring, many said Gibson’s photographs, taken in Smith's bedroom, could damage the ruling party.

Cassius Stuart, leader of a small opposition party, the Bahamas Democratic Movement which has no seats in parliament, titles Gibson’s act shameful for the Bahamas and stressed that he should resign. "He should do the right thing and step down," he told reporters outside Smith's Nassau residence.
