Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has been making a lot of news lately, from her hard partying to her men. The latest news about Lindsay is that she has checked into a rehab facility.

The report was confirmed by her publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnick. Zelnick said the Bobby actress has checked into a rehab facility in Hollywood, the exclusive Wonderland Center. This was reported in the website of the Us Weekly magazine. In a statement released to the press, Lindsay said, “I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time.”

The actress refused to divulge what problem led her to the rehab facility. Us magazine, in its report, said that the Wonderland Center is a rehab facility that provides therapy and treatment for alcohol as well as substance abuse, and also has relapse-prevention programs. Lindsay was seen having a night on the town after going through an appendix operation.

There was speculation in the media about who managed to get Lindsay to the rehab facility in the first place. Perezhilton.com, a Hollywood gossip website reported that the person who got Lindsay into rehab was none other than Brandon Davis, ex-boyfriend of Paris Hilton. That in itself is an interesting news item, considering the fact that Jarvis had earlier last year branded Lindsay ‘firecrotch’.

According to a source, the website reported, Brandon had been instrumental in getting Lindsay to the facility. “Lindsay paid a visit to Brandon during his most recent stay in rehab. And he's been instrumental in getting her to get help,” the source apparently told the website.

One person who spoke out on the issue was Lindsay’s mother. She said there was nothing to worry about, adding that she was proud of her daughter for deciding to take the step she took. It showed that she was in control of her life, she said.

“I'm so proud of her. She's really in a good place right now, spiritually and mentally. She's 20 and she's solid, and she's doing what she needs to do. I don't know that many people who are that secure. It's all about her, and getting back on track. She's fine - she's amazingly fine,” Lindsay’s mother was reported to have said.
