Appendix Removed, Lindsay Recovering

Delicate Lindsay is back in hospital....but this time not for any heat stroke, dehydration or twist in the wrist, but because of appendicitis.

American actress and pop music singer Lindsay Lohan rushed to the hospital on Wednesday, and after check-ups and various tests, the doctor concluded that the 20 year old actress has appendicitis.

The 'Mean Girls' star had an operation on Thursday to remove her appendix, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, said that "having her appendix removed. She is resting comfortably.''

Celebrity website TMZ reported that the actress was not feeling well on Wednesday and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors asked her to return the next day to get her appendix removed as a precaution.

The actress has made many trips to the hospital so far. Lohan’s three car accident’s in 2005 made headlines. The teen queen spent about two days in a hospital in Miami, Florida, after suffering a serious asthma attack in January 2006.

While shooting for ‘Georgia Rule’ in July 2006, Lohan complained for dehydration and was rushed to the hospital. In the beginning of the previous year, she was taken to a London hospital for a cut on her leg.
