" title="Eddie says he’s not the daddy"/> Comic actor, Eddie Murphy and former spice girl Melanie Brown had certainly dated earlier this year but now their relationship seems to be a story of the past. The recent is that the actor who was earlier planning to marry Mel B has revealed that the two are no longer together and is demanding a paternity test for the pregnant lady’s unborn child. During an interview on Dutch TV show 'RTL Boulevard' a reporter had asked Eddie "So are you happy with her because she's pregnant with your child?" apparently referring to Brown. To which the actor angrily replied "You're being presumptuous, because we're not together anymore. And I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir." It appears that Murphy, who stars in the upcoming "Dreamgirls" film, could not find his dream girl in the former member of the megahit group of the 90’s. However, Arnold Robinson, a spokesman for Murphy denied that any such statement was made by the actor as he said, "Mr. Murphy does not discuss his personal life publicly, so whatever is being reported is a fabrication and did not occur." Murphy, the 'Daddy Day Care' was earlier married to Nicole Mitchell. Only a few months after their divorce was finalized, the actor in June got paired with Brown. Murphy already has six children, five with Nicole, and one from a prior relationship. Brown, who is five-months pregnant, earlier had a short-lived marriage with dancer Jimmy Gulzar from which she has a seven-year-old daughter Phoenix-Chi. Murphy, 45, reportedly escorted film producer Tracey Edmonds to the premiere of "Dreamgirls" in New York on Monday night and admitted to the producer being his ‘new lady.’ The duo said they were "very happy and having fun". People magazine, on its Web site Tuesday, quoted Edmonds, the ex-wife of singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, as saying she's been dating Murphy "for about a month and a half." |
