ONGC, Rana Sugars & PVR surge higher
Mumbai -- The market is still paving the path with smart gains.
After announcing its plan to buy stakes in Oil fields in Cuba, Kazakhstan, ONGC has surged higher by 0.2% to Rs. 1158. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 1170 and a low of Rs. 1158 and has recorded volumes of over 3,00,000 shares on NSE.
Chandigarh-based Rana Sugars Ltd., a joint venture of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Ltd., has gained by 1.2% to Rs. 31 after the company raised their Sugar prices by 5%. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 32 and a low of Rs. 30 and has recorded volumes of over 18,00,000 shares on NSE.
Praj Industries, global leader in bio-ethanol technology, has spurred by 3.2% to Rs. 170 after the company declared that they have acquired 100% of C.J. Schneider Engineering Company for Rs. 225mn. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 172 and a low of Rs. 161 and has recorded volumes of over 6,00,000 shares on NSE.
Following the path of gainers, Hindustan Motors has rallied by 7.5% to Rs. 42 after the Company won an order from the Government of West Bengal to start developing 314 acres of land. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 43 and a low of Rs. 39 and has recorded volumes of over 35,00,000 shares on BSE.
An acquisition of UK-based Clinical Trials Services provider, DHP Ltd., for $5mn boosted the Bilcare company. Bilcare has advanced by 2.7% to Rs. 482. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 484 and a low of Rs. 465 and has recorded volumes of over 21,000 shares on BSE.
Similarly, PVR Ltd. has moved further by 2.2% to Rs. 260 after the company has announced its plan to invest Rs. 2bn in the next three years. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 263 and a low of Rs. 255 and has recorded volumes of over 400,000 shares on NSE.
