Slim, Flashy Shooters by Sony
Digital imaging takes a step forward with Sony's new series of Cyber-shot digital cameras. Featuring a three-inch touch-screen display along with a built-in slide show capability, the new series promises perfect picture quality.
The flashy and sleek, the DSC-T50 and the DSC-N2 were launched by Sony on Monday. The two offer an extra large screen display due to its designing which incorporates the spontaneous menu option thereby showing lesser buttons on the body.
Powered by the Clear Photo Plus LCD technology, the cameras offer display resolution of 230,000 pixels with a higher contrast ratio thus enabling better viewing from different angles. The series also feature the Super SteadyShot optical image stabilizer technology which reduces motion blur caused due to shaky hand movements.
An upgraded version of the T30 ultra-compact model, the DSC-T50 features a 3x optical zoom lens along with a 56MB internal memory and a 7 Megapixel CCD. The camera is compatible to both Memory Stick Duos and Memory Stick PRO Duos of up to 4GB in size. The model incorporates the ISO 1000 sensitivity which allows high quality photography in lower light. The slimmer of the two, the T50 is available in catchy colors red, black and shinny silver.
On the other hand, replacing the DSC-N1, the DSC-N2 also a 3x optical zoom lens model features a high-density 10-megapixel sensor, 25MB of internal memory and has a higher light sensitivity of ISO 1600. Powered by the most distinctive feature, the built-in photo album feature, which automatically stores images in VGA resolution version and maks them available for slideshow later, makes the model a step apart from other cameras. The champagne gold casing further adds shimmer to the model.
According to the officials, both models will be available at the Sony Style® retail stores beginning October. The DSC-T50 has been priced at $500 while the DSC-N2 will be retailed at $450.
