Mumbai -- The markets have registered positive bias in the morning today after closing in the negative territary yesterday. Index heavy weights like Reliance Industries, Hero Honda, Satyam Computer, Britannia and Infosys are trading with smart gains.
In the morning trading session, the BSE 30-share Sensex has gained by 26 points at 11571 and NSE 50-share Nifty is up by 6 points to 3372. Britannia, IPCL, Satyam Computer, Maruti, Reliance, Infosys and Hero Honda are trading firmly in the opening trades.
ING Vysya Bank has surged by 2.8% to Rs. 135. The Bank has sold its whole stake in Bharat Overseas Bank for Rs. 358mn. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 136 and a low of Rs. 134 and has recorded volumes of over 3,000 shares on BSE.
Gujarat Ambuja has spurred higher by 0.5% to Rs. 110 after the company declared its plan to invest Rs. 3.11bn to expand capacity and establish a captive power plant. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 110 and a low of Rs. 108 and has recorded volumes of over 1,00,000 shares on NSE.
However, Aditya Birla Nuvo has lost by 0.2% to Rs. 808 after the Board of directors of the company gave its node to the rights issue worth Rs. 7.8bn. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 820 and a low of Rs. 807.
