Eva Longoria to quit Television after "Desperate Housewives"
Popular television serial "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria has revealed that she plans to quit television when the popular US drama series ends.
Eva Longoria, the hot actress playing the part of Gabrielle Solis in the successful American series "Desperate Housewives" admits wanting to focus her career on movies.
"I really want to do more films instead of TV. I want to play strong women. I would love to do a romantic comedy next - I love actors like Vince Vaughan, Jim Carrey, Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant."
Eva Longoria put an end to rumors, saying she intends quitting her role by declaring: "I would never leave "Desperate Housewives". I love doing both TV and film but I would never do another TV show after “Desperate Housewives.”
Eva is currently filming the third season of the show, in which she stars alongside Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan.
The third season of Desperate Housewives begins in the US at the end of September.
Diva Eva has already positioned herself to launch a movie career. She had her mainstream movie debut opposite Kiefer Sutherland and Michael Douglas in 'The Sentinel'.
Though she could not win laurels for 'The Sentinel', but she is keen enough to leave a mark on her next comic flick 'How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiancée' which is going to release in 2007.
31, year-old gorgeous Eva was voted "#1 Hottest Woman in the World" by Maxim's readers in 2005. Eva is even the first woman to top the Maxim's Hottest Female Stars list in two consecutive years ('05 and '06).
Eva has also recently signed an important publicity contract with the cosmetic brand L'Oreal.
Apart from filming for the new season of "Desperate Housewives" Eva Longoria is involved in a charity campaign helping Latinos suffering from cancer.
Born in Texas, attractive Eva managed to become famous for playing Gabrielle Solis in ABC's "Desperate Housewives," as well as modeling contracts she signed as the TV-series made it big on popularity.
The year 2006 brought Eva Longoria on music videos, first in Jessica Simpson's music video "A Public Affair" where she performed with host of other models.
