Market witnesses Volatility

Mumbai -- After opening in green territory the market floated in between ups and downs.

SRF Ltd., the flagship of the Arun Bharat Group, has dipped by 0.5% to Rs. 242. The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on September 06, 2006 has announced that the Company's offer of buyback of equity shares wll be closed on September 25, 2006.

Unlike SRF, Hind Petroleum has rallied by 4.7% to Rs. 304. The scrip is the biggest gainer among the 50-scrips of NSE Nifty and has recorded an intra-day high of Rs. 305 and low of Rs. 289 and has recorded volumes of over 17, 00, 000 shares on NSE.

Reliance Industries has surged higher on the back of huge volumes.
The Industry has spurred by 1.2% to Rs. 1139. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 1146 and a low of Rs. 1124 and has recorded volumes of over 26, 00, 000 shares on NSE.

On contrary, in spite of being named amongst one of the top BPO service provider in the world by International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), TCS has shed by 1% to Rs. 996. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 1017 and a low of Rs. 991 and has recorded volumes of over 4, 00, 000 shares on NSE.

Similarly, Hinduja TMT has advanced by 0.6% to Rs. 568 after the company announced that they would roll out Special (Interim) Dividend for 2006-2007 on September 26, 2006 and Dividend for 2005-2006 on September 27, 2006. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 583 and a low of Rs. 567 and has recorded volumes of over 36, 000 shares on BSE.
