Media industries bounce back

Mumbai -- Media industries are trading in the negative territory.

Of them, Zee Telefilms has plunged by 3.7% to Rs. 278, the scrip is the biggest loser among the 50-scrips of NSE Nifty and has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 294 and low of Rs. 265 and has recorded volumes of over 47 lakh shares on NSE.

Another media company, Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers Ltd (TNPL) has slipped by 1% to Rs. 102. However, the company has announced that it would install a new paper machine and increase the production capacity to 3, 65,000 tons per annum. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 104 and a low of Rs. 102 and has recorded volumes of over 33 thousand shares on NSE.

Similarly, Sri Adhikari Brothers (SAB) Television Network has dipped by 1.9% to Rs. 15. The Board of directors of the company has given its approval to the proposal for raising funds. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 16 and a low of Rs. 15 and has recorded volumes of over 31 thousand shares on NSE.

On contrary, ITC has surged by 1.7% to Rs. 190 on back of huge volumes. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 190 and a low of Rs. 187 and has recorded volumes of over 53 lakh shares on NSE.

Among auto industries, Bajaj Auto has spurred higher by 0.2% to Rs. 2695 after the company inks a MoU with State Government for Greenfield Project at Chakan in Pune. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 2715 and a low of Rs. 2667 and has recorded volumes of over 1 lakh shares on NSE.
