Buying witnessed in heavy weights
Mumbai -- Buying in index heavy weights like Reliance Industries, SBI, Dr Reddy’s Lab, Tata Motors, Ranbaxy and HLL helped market to open in green today. The BSE 30-share Sensex is up by 24 points at 11732 and NSE 50-share Nifty has gained 8 points at 3433. Ranbaxy , BPCL, Tata Motors, IPCL and Tata Chemicals are the major gainers among the 50-scrips of Nifty.
Emco shares got an extra boost when the company won an order worth Rs. 2.7bn from Karnataka Power Transmission Corp. Emco has surged by 3.1% to Rs. 545 after winning the contract. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 560 and a low of Rs. 545.
Similarly, bagging long distance phone lines license has helped Tulip IT to move higher. Tulip IT has spurred by 0.7% to Rs. 284. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 287 and a low of Rs. 281 and has recorded volumes of over 1 lakh shares on NSE.
M&M feels proud after being placed at 4th place in India Sales Satisfaction Index. The ranking in the JD Power Asia Pacific 2006, India Sales Satisfaction Index Study pushed M&M stocks higher by 1% to Rs. 662. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 663 and a low of Rs. 653 and has recorded volumes of over 1 lakh shares on NSE.
