Bad timing to lose her voice- Jessica cancelled album promo

Just when her new album was to get on floors and making public appearances was much needed, singer Jessica Simpson lost her voice in New York.

The pop diva and the heartthrob of many is facing some really bad times as the blonde beauty was ordered to rest her voice, just a few days before her latest album was going to be released, but she has refused to cancel an appearance on MTV's ‘TRL’, which is hosted by ex-husband Nick Lachey's new girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.

She won’t bother her vocal cords to sing on ‘TRL’, but will make a special appearance to promote her album.

Rob Shuter, her representative said,:"She can talk, she can croak out a few sentences. She sounds a little off, but, you know, she can't sing."

She has visited the doctor on Monday, who has suggested complete vocal rest, or she can even lose her voice forever.

The singer's roller-skating record release party was on Tuesday night at the Roxy, but Simpson had been strictly forbidden from singing.

Talk about bad timing. At the start of a media blitz to support her new album, the doctors had advised Jessica to cancel her promotional commitments that included her appearances on ‘Today’, ‘Total Request Live’ and ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’.

However, the 26 year old didn’t let her fans down who were waiting for her at MTV's 'Total Request Live' show. She dropped by to sign cd’s and introduce her new album.

Jessica’s career goes way back to 1990, when she started coming with her then-husband Nick Lachey in the MTV reality show Newlyweds. She soon released her own line of Dessert Beauty and Dessert Treat beauty products and started a career as an actress, while continuing her music career. Since then, her career has sky rocketed.

On 29 August 2006, Jessica revealed her love for singer John Mayer and confirmed her relationship with him. Fabricated stories have even linked her to Jared Leto and comedian Dane Cook.
