Abbott India, R Systems & Energy stocks are up
Mumbai -- Although opening in the negative territory in the morning, the market is advancing further with gains.
An announcement of the buyback of shares has helped Abbott India to advance further. Abbott India, which is engaged in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical formulations in India, has surged by 1.5% to Rs. 587 after the company has made announcement to buyback shares at Rs. 650 per share. The scrip has reached an intra-day high of Rs. 593 and a low of Rs. 582 and has recorded volumes of over 10 thousand shares on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
In the same way, R Systems shares got a boost after the completion of acquisition of America's WebConverse. The software product development company has gained by 5% to Rs. 178 after the company accomplished their acquisition of WebConverse, US. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 178 and a low of Rs. 170 and has recorded volumes of over 47 thousand shares on BSE.
On the back of Joint Venture (JV) with Wall Street Journal HT Media has surge higher. HT Media Ltd, today announced an editorial content tie-up with the Wall Street Journal (WSJ)and has gained by 2% to Rs. 545. The scrip has reached to an intra-day high of Rs. 546 and a low of Rs. 505 and has recorded volumes of over 56 thousand shares on NSE.
After bagging a Canadian contract worth $315000, Kilburn Engineering surged higher. Kilburn Engineering, which specialises in design, engineering, manufacture, supply and installation of various types of drying systems for Chemical, Petrochemicals, Food, Oil, Gas and other industries, has gained by 3.4% to Rs. 6 after the company won the Canadian contract. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 6.70 and a low of Rs. 6.40.
Following the track of gainers, Oil & Gas stocks are trading with smart gains as the government has announced that it will give bonds worth Rs. 141.5bn to state-run oil refiners this month. Reliance Industries has surged by 0.3% to Rs. 1113, IOC has spurred by 2.3% to Rs. 478, BPCL is up by 2.9% to Rs. 357 and HPCL has gained by 4.7% to Rs. 269.
